Acceptable Use Policy

Scope

This policy forms part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everyone who uses B8R Legal, including members of a firm who joined through someone else's invitation.

What you must not do

With other people's information

Store or process information you have no lawful authority or client consent to handle.
Use another user's access, or continue to use data you obtained through access that has since been revoked.
Extract client or case information from a firm you have left, or from cases that were shared with you, for your own separate use.
Use the App to harass, defame, intimidate, or invade the privacy of anyone, including opposing parties and their advocates.

With the App itself

Bypass, disable, or interfere with security, billing, or access controls — including any attempt to obtain free or discounted actions you are not entitled to.
Repeatedly remove and re-add team members, or create and delete accounts, to reset trial pricing or free allowances.
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code, beyond what the law expressly permits.
Use automated tools to scrape, bulk-download, or overload the service.
Share one login between several people (see Terms, Section 4).
Attempt to store document contents, scanned files, or encoded data in free-text fields — the App has no document facility, and those fields are not built for it.

Generally

Use the App for any unlawful purpose, or to further a fraud.
Present yourself to other users as an enrolled advocate if you are not. We do not verify anyone's credentials, so this misrepresentation is easy to make and is taken seriously.
Use the App from outside India, or offer it onward to users outside India. It is offered to advocates practising in India only.

Consequences

Breaching this policy can lead to your access being suspended or your account terminated, with notice where practicable. Where an account is terminated for a breach, unused wallet balance is not refunded — see the Refund Policy.

Separately from anything we do: fraudulent, forged, or unauthorised use of the platform — including unauthorised access to another user's data — may constitute a criminal offence under applicable Indian law, and may be reported.

Reporting misuse

If you believe someone is misusing the App, or that content in it is unlawful or infringes your rights, tell our Grievance Officer or write to support@b8r.in. Include enough detail for us to identify what you are reporting. We act on complaints we are actually made aware of; we do not monitor or review user content on our own initiative.
