B8R Legal — last updated 5 August 2026
The web version of B8R Legal uses cookies and similar local storage for two things only: keeping you signed in, and counting how features are used in aggregate. We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not allow anyone to track you across other websites. The Android app does not use cookies, though it collects the same aggregate usage statistics.
| Type | Set by | Purpose | Can you refuse it? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Firebase Authentication | Keeps you signed in between page loads and secures the session. Without it you would have to log in on every screen. | No — the App cannot work without it |
| Analytics | Google — Firebase Analytics | Counts screen views and feature usage in aggregate, so we know what to improve. | Yes — see below |
Essential storage is also used to remember small interface preferences on your own device. That never leaves your browser.
You can switch analytics off without losing any App functionality:
Blocking essential cookies will sign you out and prevent the App from working — that is a limitation of how sign-in works, not a choice we made to pressure you.
For the full picture of what we collect and why, see the Privacy Policy, and for who else receives any of it, the Sub-processor list.
